Senior Medicare Patrol

The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) mission is to empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, abuse, and errors through outreach, counseling, and education.

SMP fights Medicare fraud through outreach and education. Our volunteers play a vital role in fighting fraud. They staff information booths at fairs and outreach events, and occasionally give group presentations to Medicare beneficiaries. By volunteering with SMP you invest in your community, helping beneficiaries to avoid becoming victims of fraud and medical identity theft. And it’s a great way to meet people and expand your own network of friends and acquaintances.
