Volunteer on behalf of Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity (we are a charity partner with the Cellcom Marathon) by being a marathon course corner guard. Cheer on the participants as they run by, and ensure that drivers follow the cones/etc at non busy intersections.
Free t shirt, we supply a neon vest for you to wear, and we invite you to join us at the volunteer appreciation event on Wednesday May 22 at 5:30pm, Green Bay Distillery.
Wear comfy shoes, various shifts. Most shifts start at 8:45am, and are done by 10am. Two volunteers are preferred, this is a great adult/child volunteer opportunity-or a great opportunity for a small group.
This position will have runners from both the half and full marathon come through. The half and full both come through at the beginning of the race, then the half comes back again. Stand on assigned corners of the half & marathon routes and work as a crossing guard, stopping traffic to allow runners to run through. Busy streets are manned by police officers. please report to your intersection on race day during the designated time and a pace vehicle will be following the last runner and will dismiss you from your intersection.
