Join NEW Food Forum and UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in celebrating World Food Day. This year, with every part of the world impacted by a pandemic, FAO has chosen a fitting phrase: “Grow, Nourish, Sustain. Together.” This year’s World Food Day is a call for global solidarity to help all populations recover from the pandemic and to make food systems more resilient.
On Friday, October 16, NEW Food Forum will host a virtual lunchtime gathering from 12:00-12:45pm, where we will engage with some of our community’s food heroes. We’ll hear about lessons they have learned during the pandemic, what resources they have found to be helpful, and other important aspects of understanding our local food system.
