Volunteer: Homeless Shelter Dinner AssistantPrepare a hot meal for shelter residents with the guidance of staff. Oftentimes full meals are donated and simply need to be heated. Serve the meal to the shelter residents buffet style through kitchen window at 5:30pm. Once everyone is served you are invited to eat with the residents and enjoy their fellowship. Some clean up of the kitchen if necessary after dinner service is complete. Must be at least 18 years of age, able to lift 20 lbs., and comfortable working directly with the homeless population. Interested applicants will be asked to complete a volunteer application including a criminal background check.
