Veteran Volunteers are matched with a Veteran patient who may have a similar military background.

These unique companion volunteers bring the gift of friendship to our Veteran patients. They enhance quality of life through regular social visits by offering support, companionship and assistance with non-medical tasks to ensure that patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort.

Volunteers and their dogs are needed! Pet Volunteers make social visits to hospice patients with the pet therapy certified dogs 2-3 times a month for increased socialization and companionship. Not pet therapy certified? Contact us and we can provide you with information on how to certify your dog!

Looking for a way to give back? Heartland is looking for new volunteers to join our team! Friendly Visitor volunteers spend time with hospice patients in need of some additional socialization and companionship. Common activities include reading to patients, going for walks, assisting patients with letter writing, playing cards, or just listening or holding someone's hand during their end of life journey.

All of our Support Services clients receiving parenting education can request childcare for their appointment. Our childcare volunteers interact, supervise, and play with children in our on-site childcare room. This role is extremely crucial to our programming so that we can better serve our clients by providing them the opportunity to get a break and have privacy for their appointments.

All Support Services clients get to shop in our Little Dear Boutique. This on-site boutique is stocked with baby outfits, diapers, cribs, and everything baby you can think of! As a Little Dear Boutique volunteer, you would be helping sort store donations, restocking the shelves, assisting clients, and completing cleaning or other organization tasks. Our store volunteers love being able to interact with clients as well as get to know other volunteers. 

Pick up meals from preparation site and deliver to elderly and disabled individuals who are home-bound in our community by following a delivery route sheet. Must make contact with each participant before dropping off the meal.

You can deliver meals one day a week or one day every other week. Approximately two hours per day on the day that you drive between the hours of 10:30am-12:00pm. Mileage reimbursement is offered.

This is truly a very rewarding experience!

Furry Companions bring endless joy to everyone at Curative Connections. They promote increased exercise, mobility, lowered blood pressure and a boost in emotional well-being. For many Curative Connections members, furry companions help them feel calm, comfortable and supported in their program. Whether a regular or occasional volunteer, the furry companion opportunity is a wonderful way to make an impact in our community.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Zoo Ambassador at the NEW Zoo! Zoo Ambassadors facilitate interactions between our animals and guests, and help our guests make connections to the animals. Zoo Ambassadors learn how to use empathy to connect our guests with animals in the zoo.

Children's Zoo shifts are  typically 2 hours long, from 10am-12pm or from 12pm-2pm. At some times of the year, shift hours may vary. Shifts are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. After you complete training, you can set your own schedule according to your availability by signing up to supervise the shift(s) of your choice. Must be aged 15+ for this opportunity, unless working with a chaperone. Kids aged 8-14 can volunteer with an adult as partners.

Ticket Scanners: Volunteers will be given a handheld ticket scanning device. Once they are at their assigned gate, a supervisor will train them how to use. Volunteers scan tickets of fans upon entering the stadium. Groups normally stay 30-45 minutes after kick-off and will then be released by their gate supervisor. Approximate shifts 3.5 - 4.5 hours

Our affordable door-to-door transportation service for adults 60 years and older and people with disabilities has been around for over 50 years, helping thousands of people in our community remain independent.

The success of our service has been largely dependent on volunteer drivers. Please help us continue to make a difference in our community by helping those in need lead a more fulfilling and self-sufficient lifestyle!

Volunteers must have a valid Wisconsin driver license, be 18 years or older, have a good driving record, and complete a minimum of two ride-along shifts with a current volunteer driver.

Job Overview:

Brain Enrichment (BE) is an interactive educational experience for older adults with normal age-related memory changes.  The facilitator leads and guides discussions of ten, one and a half-hour interactive session with course participants.   The curriculum includes learning about the brain’s processes, mental exercises to stimulate the brain, lifestyle practices for brain health and practice strategies for improving thinking and memory.

Newcap's clients periodically need help moving into their new homes.  We are looking for volunteers to help them do so.  Ages 18+ are welcome!  We will put your name on our list and you will be called when a need presents itself.  Thank you!

Newcap has 3 Interim Houses (Shelters), 2 in Green Bay and 1 in Shawano. One of the houses in Green Bay is for youth ages 10-17 and the other 2 are for families. We are looking for people to do Workshops with the clients. This would include budgeting, cooking, crafts, running a household, etc type of classes. 

We could also use assistance with regular meals made for the homes. Holiday meals as well. 

We are looking for an individual that loves cleaning! Whenever one of our clients move out of our housing we have to clean the apartment before another client can move in. We are searching for one or a group of people to help clean with us. We would supply any protective gear you would like as well as all the cleaning equipment. We look forward to cleaning with you!

Enjoy the company of others, especially around topics that you’re passionate about? The wellness check, personal interaction and smiles volunteers provide give clients a social and emotional boost, which is at least as important as the food they are getting! Volunteers must be 18 or older, have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and proof of current auto insurance.

The Archival and Object Collections at the National Railroad Museum will continue to be researched and documented. This will include the cataloging of photographs, library resources, inventory of model railroad collection, and the map collection.

Qualified individuals will assist the Curatorial Department by:
• Scan objects in the photograph collection

• Inventory map collection
• Complete data entry in PastPerfect software

Prepare a hot meal for shelter residents with the guidance of staff. Oftentimes full meals are donated and simply need to be heated. Serve the meal to the shelter residents buffet style through kitchen window at 5:30pm.  Once everyone is served you are invited to eat with the residents and enjoy their fellowship. Some clean up  of the kitchen if necessary after dinner service is complete. Must be at least 18 years of age, able to lift 20 lbs., and comfortable working directly with the homeless population. Interested applicants will be asked to complete a volunteer application including a criminal background check. 

Position: Court Appointed Special Advocate / CASA Volunteer.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Advocate Supervisor.

Time Commitment: 30 hours pre-service training; 12 hours of annual in-service training; other flexible hours as necessary for the assigned case (minimum of 10 hours per month).

Position Purpose: A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a trained citizen volunteer appointed by the Juvenile Court to ensure that the needs and interests of abused or neglected children are being met. CASAs are assigned to dependent children who are under the Juvenile Court’s jurisdiction and are assigned at the discretion of the Judge of the Juvenile Court.

 We are looking for Veterans who interested in providing companionship to our Veteran hospice patients. For many Veterans, the opportunity to share their stories can be fulfilling and often contributes a sense of fellowship, life closure and peace. If the volunteer visiting is a Veteran, the sharing can be all that more powerful. Veterans may want to share their stories with someone who understands what they went through. They feel connected by hearing other Veteran stories. They gain validation and understanding in a very special way from another Veteran.

Volunteers will be supported with a reading mentor prep course (online, self-paced). Through this initiative we can ensure an equitable and enhanced future for the children of our community. Recent statistics have shown a 14% decrease in reading proficiency, with only 27% of Brown County students meeting their 3rd grade proficiency targets. Therefore, it is essential that we act to solve an issue that will affect UWGB's future and the economic capacity of the region.

A Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Volunteer activities within our organization. The duties include interviewing and hiring Volunteers, placing Volunteers in different roles based on their qualifications and maintaining accurate Volunteer records.

We have a need for a volunteer to help sort and mate shoes as well as fold and prep linen for our sales floor. 

This is an evening and weekend position that we have available. This includes sitting at our furniture department desk and playing the role of customer service. This position answers general questions about furniture deliveries and pick ups. 

Cashiers are needed at our East location on weekends. Timing is flexible, we are open on Saturday from 9am-7pm and on Sunday from 11am-6pm; we usually have our volunteers work for a minimum of 2 hours. Assist the Life Enrichment team with providing manicures for residents.  First time volunteers will need to complete the Woodside Senior Communities Volunteer Orientation and paperwork.  We do ask for a weekly and/or monthly time commitment. 

Woodside Senior Communities was the first to bring Cycling Without Age to the Green Bay community through a grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.  Each spring through fall we train volunteer pilots to give residents rides in the trishaw.  This is an electric bike with a basket in the front where up to two residents can sit.  We do ask for a weekly and/or monthly time commitment.  Rides can happen any day of the week during daylight hours. Must be in good physical shape. 

Woodside Manor and Woodside Lutheran Home gladly welcome volunteer musical entertainers.  The Life Enrichment Managers will work with you to arrange a time that works for you and the residents. 

Lead a group of men in various activities of interest.  The volunteer would coordinate a best day and time with the Life Enrichment Manager.  First time volunteers do need to complete the Woodside Senior Communities Volunteer Orientation and paperwork.  We do ask for a weekly and/or monthly time commitment.

Do you have the desire to be a part of the grief support that Unity provides? Have you considered helping out with a support group? Unity’s bereavement department is looking for volunteers who are interested in being a co-facilitator for our grief support groups. Opportunities include being a co-facilitator for an ongoing monthly group that meets the third Thursday of each month or for a 5-week Navigating Grief group that meets on 5 consecutive Tuesdays . These opportunities are for both afternoon and evening groups.

Do you love history, science, and art exhibits and sharing your enthusiasm for these subjects with kids? The museum is looking for volunteers to lead school groups through the exhibits.

As a tour guide, you'll be responsible for leading groups of up to 25 students and their teachers/chaperones through the exhibits for 45-60 minutes.  Successful volunteers don't need to be experts on everything in the museum; we'll teach you everything you need to know. What is more important is enthusiasm, the ability to think on your feet when a kid asks a whacky question, and your ability to make the museum fun and entertaining.

Volunteers train by shadowing experienced guides, spending time exploring the exhibits on their own, and when they're ready, by doing a tag-team tour with an experienced guide.

The schedule is variable, but our volunteers typically lead between 2 and 5 tours each month, and tours are usually weekdays with most being in the mornings.

We need your help to support family caregivers within our community!

The ADRC is seeking partners to join us in facilitating Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes. This six-week caregiver series provides a variety of tools and strategies to better handle situations commonly faced when caring for a loved one who has a chronic condition or is aging.

We are looking for current or former caregivers to help lead The Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) classes in Brown County. Licensed class leaders are fully prepared to team-teach or co-facilitate Powerful Tools for Caregivers to groups of 8 – 15 family caregivers.  PTC facilitators will lead the class with a detailed, scripted curriculum that builds on The Caregiver Helpbook. The class is available in multiple languages and can be delivered in-person or virtually; each leader decides what format they are most comfortable with.

The Volunteer Café Attendant is the friendly face and ambassador of first impressions for those who visit the Grounded Café at the ADRC.

For many ADRC visitors they will be the first person to make them feel welcome while experiencing outstanding customer service. This café attendant will work as part of a “café team” of volunteers to provide fresh coffee, bakery and other items to the general public, ADRC consumers, and downtown neighbors. 

Positions available are barista, cook, food prep, dishes, and cleaning tables.

This would include things like taking the family to Paul's Pantry, helping with rides to doctor appointments, teaching the family how to use the bus, and use the different cleaning supplies.
