Drivers deliver meals Monday through Friday. Daily route drivers pick up meals at 11:10 a.m. at Fresh Meals On Wheels. Daily route drivers use their own vehicles.

The wellness check, personal interaction and smiles volunteers provide give clients a social and emotional boost, which is at least as important as the food they are getting! Volunteers must be 18 or older, have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and proof of current auto insurance.

The Archival and Object Collections at the National Railroad Museum will continue to be researched and documented. This will include the cataloging of photographs, library resources, inventory of model railroad collection, and the map collection.

Qualified individuals will assist the Curatorial Department by:
• Scan objects in the photograph collection
• Inventory model railroad collection
• Inventory map collection
• Complete data entry in PastPerfect software

Prepare a hot meal for shelter residents with the guidance of staff. Oftentimes full meals are donated and simply need to be heated. Serve the meal to the shelter residents buffet style through kitchen window at 5:30pm.  Once everyone is served you are invited to eat with the residents and enjoy their fellowship. Some clean up  of the kitchen if necessary after dinner service is complete. Must be at least 18 years of age, able to lift 20 lbs., and comfortable working directly with the homeless population. Interested applicants will be asked to complete a volunteer application including a criminal background check. 

Position: Court Appointed Special Advocate / CASA Volunteer.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Advocate Supervisor.

Time Commitment: 30 hours pre-service training; 12 hours of annual in-service training; other flexible hours as necessary for the assigned case (minimum of 10 hours per month).

Position Purpose: A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a trained citizen volunteer appointed by the Juvenile Court to ensure that the needs and interests of abused or neglected children are being met. CASAs are assigned to dependent children who are under the Juvenile Court’s jurisdiction and are assigned at the discretion of the Judge of the Juvenile Court.

We are looking for a sweet therapy dog who you think would do well at visiting with our hospice patients. Under our pet therapy program, your specially trained dog would be able to provide companionship to our patients. Pet companionship can bring our patients a sense of peace, comfort and trust.

 We are looking for Veterans who interested in providing companionship to our Veteran hospice patients. For many Veterans, the opportunity to share their stories can be fulfilling and often contributes a sense of fellowship, life closure and peace. If the volunteer visiting is a Veteran, the sharing can be all that more powerful. Veterans may want to share their stories with someone who understands what they went through. They feel connected by hearing other Veteran stories. They gain validation and understanding in a very special way from another Veteran.

In unison with our institutional priorities of supporting student success for all students, making education more inclusive and equitable and being community-engaged to solve problems of our region, UWGB's faculty and staff are committing to providing unpaid, flexible hours to read to students in 1st-3rd grade. Volunteers will be supported with a reading mentor prep course (online, self-paced). Through this initiative we can ensure an equitable and enhanced future for the children of our community. Recent statistics have shown a 14% decrease in reading proficiency, with only 27% of Brown County students meeting their 3rd grade proficiency targets. Therefore, it is essential that we act to solve an issue that will affect UWGB's future and the economic capacity of the region.

Assist the Life Enrichment team with providing manicures for residents.  First time volunteers will need to complete the Woodside Senior Communities Volunteer Orientation and paperwork.  We do ask for a weekly and/or monthly time commitment. 

Woodside Senior Communities was the first to bring Cycling Without Age to the Green Bay community through a grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.  Each spring through fall we train volunteer pilots to give residents rides in the trishaw.  This is an electric bike with a basket in the front where up to two residents can sit.  We do ask for a weekly and/or monthly time commitment.  Rides can happen any day of the week during daylight hours. Must be in good physical shape. 

Woodside Manor and Woodside Lutheran Home gladly welcome volunteer musical entertainers.  The Life Enrichment Managers will work with you to arrange a time that works for you and the residents.

Unity’s bereavement department is looking for volunteers who are interested in being a co-facilitator for our grief support groups. Opportunities include being a co-facilitator for an ongoing monthly group that meets the third Thursday of each month or for a 5-week Navigating Grief group that meets on 5 consecutive Tuesdays . These opportunities are for both afternoon and evening groups.

Do you love history, science, and art exhibits and sharing your enthusiasm for these subjects with kids? The museum is looking for volunteers to lead school groups through the exhibits.

As a tour guide, you'll be responsible for leading groups of up to 25 students and their teachers/chaperones through the exhibits for 45-60 minutes.  Successful volunteers don't need to be experts on everything in the museum; we'll teach you everything you need to know. What is more important is enthusiasm, the ability to think on your feet when a kid asks a whacky question, and your ability to make the museum fun and entertaining.

Volunteers train by shadowing experienced guides, spending time exploring the exhibits on their own, and when they're ready, by doing a tag-team tour with an experienced guide.

The schedule is variable, but our volunteers typically lead between 2 and 5 tours each month, and tours are usually weekdays with most being in the mornings.

We need your help to support family caregivers within our community!

The ADRC is seeking partners to join us in facilitating Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes. This six-week caregiver series provides a variety of tools and strategies to better handle situations commonly faced when caring for a loved one who has a chronic condition or is aging.

We are looking for current or former caregivers to help lead The Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) classes in Brown County. Licensed class leaders are fully prepared to team-teach or co-facilitate Powerful Tools for Caregivers to groups of 8 – 15 family caregivers.  PTC facilitators will lead the class with a detailed, scripted curriculum that builds on The Caregiver Helpbook. The class is available in multiple languages and can be delivered in-person or virtually; each leader decides what format they are most comfortable with.

The Volunteer Café Attendant is the friendly face and ambassador of first impressions for those who visit the Grounded Café at the ADRC.

For many ADRC visitors they will be the first person to make them feel welcome while experiencing outstanding customer service. This café attendant will work as part of a “café team” of volunteers to provide fresh coffee, bakery and other items to the general public, ADRC consumers, and downtown neighbors. 

Positions available are barista, cook, food prep, dishes, and cleaning tables.

This would include things like taking the family to Paul's Pantry, helping with rides to doctor appointments, teaching the family how to use the bus, and use the different cleaning supplies. The National Railroad Museum hosts events year-round and welcomes thousands of visitors to each event! We need volunteer help to make sure that all of these visitors have a fun and welcoming experience! Spring is coming and we are looking for additional volunteers to help out in the gardens on Unity’s campus! The campus is a beautiful place to spend time during the summer months. The Education Department at the National Railroad Museum needs assistance with the implementation of various K-12 academic programs such as Railroad Activity Time, after-school outreaches, and STEM activities. Additional assistance is needed in the preparation and implementation of adult programs such as lectures, demonstrations, and group tours to the museum.

Firefly Acres Horse Farm is in need of talented individuals that understand the process of grant writing. There are many grants we wish to apply for, but need someone who has the time and talent to finding them and applying for them. We do have one grant writer currently, but help is definitely needed.

We would like to hold monthly booyah sales to raise money for the care of our horses. Since we are a volunteer run, non-profit rescue group, this is a strong need. We are looking for a person or group of people willing to coordinate monthly booyah sales. This includes shopping for the ingredients, making the booyah, and selling it. It is not expected you be the only participant; just the lead. If you are someone who enjoys cooking, working with others, and helping animals in need, we would love to have you join our team.

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is currently recruiting interns! 

This is a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in a zoological setting.

Internships can be taken for academic credit, based on guidelines from your education institution. All internships are non-paid and duration varies.  Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in an internship, provided you have the right qualifications and dedication!  Preference is given to applicants looking to earn course credit when Internship opportunities are limited.

Interns are needed in all areas of the program!  A variety of internships are available, including Education & Husbandry, Marketing & Social Media, and even Graphic Design!

200 Children are depending on volunteers so they can play ball once it's safe to proceed. Currently we are in the planning stages but continue with our efforts to secure volunteers for our 2022 season. Opening day is June 4th, 2022 and closing day will be August 6th, 2022.
The Miracle League of Green Bay needs able bodied volunteers to assist children with disabilities to play baseball. Our players range from age 4 to 19 and each require a Buddy to assist them during play. We play real baseball, with real teams on a real baseball diamond. Our Mascot needs a body to help him move! We still need a HOMER volunteer for special events and into our 2022 season! 2022 kicks off the 16th season of Miracle League of Green Bay baseball which will run from June 4th 2022 to August 6th 2022. Homer, our mascot is a VIP and players, coaches and volunteers alike look forward to his entertaining appearances throughout the season!

Unfortunately, Homer doesn't work very well without assistance. 
We are looking for a fun and energetic individual who can keep him moving so he can continue to interact at the ballpark throughout the season.

Homers shirt size is an extra large so someone taller would probably have the most success.

The Miracle League of Green Bay, a baseball and social program for children with physical or cognitive disabilities, is currently looking for 'buddies' and 'team assistants' to assist our athletes for the 2022 baseball season (We're looking forward to our upcoming season which is: Jume4th to August 6th, 2021). One game will be played per week on T, TH (4, 5:30 or 7 pm) or W (5:30 or 7 pm) plus 2 Saturdays on 6/5 and 8/7 (game times vary). Each child must have an able-bodied buddy in order to play. The minimum age for a buddy is 14 years with all ages welcome! Buddies assist the athlete in any way they may need, yet allow the player to challenge their abilities. They do not have to be experienced baseball players..they simply need to guide and support our athletes as needed. Training will be provided on how to best interact with athletes. We also have a strong need for 'team assistants' who will be responsible for coordinating buddies' attendance on a weekly basis for their assigned team. The National Railroad Museum is looking for an individual to provide supervision in the Children's Discovery Depot. This individual need should have interest for working with children, be willing to pick-up items and keep the Depot neat, be willing to interact with children and families (encouraging good behavior, reading a story or two, answering basic Museum questions), and be able to work alone. Provide beautiful, inspiring, well-maintained public gardens. Gardening Outdoors begins in April and concludes in mid-November, dependent on the weather. 

April-May ~ take part in Green House transplanting and dividing plants, adding compost and mulch to the flowerbeds, cutting back plants, and removing mulch from roses and planting roses. Spring cleaning in the gardens consists of sweeping, picking up twigs and leaves and other debris.

May-June ~ beautiful summer landscapes require planting annual and perennials flowerbeds, watering plants and fertilizing roses, and of course, mulching, weeding, dead-heading, and digging spent spring-flowering bulbs.

June-Sept ~ maintain the gardens by weeding, mulching, pruning, dead-heading, and staking plants, as well as sweeping, and raking leaves.

Sept-Nov ~help prepare for winter and next spring by planting bulbs and perennials, cleaning up beds, mulching, and putting roses to bed.

Receptionist needed!

There is a need for Volunteer Support at the reception desk located on the fifth floor of Bellin Hospital. The volunteers in this position will help with answering the phone, guide visitors to the correct area within the clinic, monitor the coffee station and assist with general clerical duties as needed.

The hours are from 8 a.m. till 12 p.m. or from 12 p.m. till 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Volunteer Rehabilitation Aides may be utilized at the hospital or at any of the outpatient clinics where therapy services are performed. Duties include cleaning equipment and treatment tables after patient use and assisting patients with completion of computer FOTO assessments. Students may also be afforded some opportunity to job shadow with therapists during assigned volunteer hours. Minimum of 150 volunteer hours required. Availability of position and location of experience to be determined by Sports Medicine Department after application is received.

The volunteers in this position help to support our nursing staff on various medical units with patient care. Some of the general duties include stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, help pass meal trays and transport patients via wheelchair. General duties vary depending on the medical unit and their needs. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in a career in medicine who would like to experience patient care first hand.

Our Hospital Support volunteers are those individuals who assist at the main entrance with escorting patients and visitors throughout the hospital.

These volunteers help to make our patients and visitors feel welcome.

The general duties also involve helping to transport patients via wheelchair when discharged.

There are some non-patient related transports at times.

This is a wonderful opportunity for those who like being active and enjoy a position that offers new experiences.

Hours are very flexible and available anytime between  4 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We are looking for friendly volunteers to help staff our reception desk located on the second floor of the hospital by the Heart and Vascular Center.

The general duties for the position are to assist with patient flow and supporting staff with clerical assistance when needed to include such activities as putting together information packets.
