Description

Looking for a fun and engaging volunteer opportunity for Day of Service? Look no further!

The UWGB Campus Cupboard and Clothing Closet is actively seeking volunteers to help with the Clothing Swap. The Clothing Swap is an event run in cooperation with the Campus Cupboard and other areas of campus to distribute NO-COST clothing and household items to students, faculty and staff with UWGB. Gently-used and some brand-new items are donated by many gracious campus community members with the goal of finding these items a new home.
Campus Cupboard is looking for assistance every day leading up to this event, especially on Day of Service (October 6) and the day of the Clothing Swap (October 9). This particular posting is related to volunteer needs on Day of Service.

Day of Service Pre-Clothing Swap Setup

Volunteers will be greatly appreciated to help bring Clothing Swap donations from our space in Rose Hall 140 to the Mauthe Center Auditorium. Volunteers will assist with packing donations dropped off on the Day of Service. Volunteers will also load boxes of clothing and household items onto carts and bring them to the Wood Hall loading dock, where they will be loading into vehicles and transported to the Mauthe Center. Volunteers will also help unload vehicles at the Mauthe Center and organize the donations onto tables in preparation for the event.

Personal vehicles are not at all necessary to volunteer; but if you have one you would like to use, we would be extremely grateful. Some volunteers may be moving large boxes, which may include some greater than 50 pounds. Volunteers will be needed throughout the entire Day of Service but can volunteer for as much time as they would like. Non-campus volunteer members are welcome to assist, but volunteers under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent and/or are subject to additional pre-registration requirements. Please note this at the time of responding to this need.
