Volunteer: Volunteer at House of Hope

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at House of Hope! We have volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups. Individuals must be age 16 or older to volunteer on their own. Youth under age 16 are welcome to volunteer with an adult. Please sign up to receive more information.

Celebration Dinner: Provide a meal for the youth and families in shelter on the third Wednesday of the month. Meals must be prepared off site. Anyone can sign up—a volunteer application and orientation are not required. Celebration dinner volunteers do not interact with House of Hope residents.

Administrative Support: Data entry, scanning and filing, shredding paper, social media content creation, etc.

Boutique: Sort and wash clothing and linen donations, organize and fold/hang clothes, rotate seasonal items, keep the boutique clean and organized.

Childcare: Take care of children while their parents are in programming; shifts are typically 1-2 hours.

Cleaning: Wash windows; vacuum/mop floors; disinfect surfaces; clean upholstery; deep clean kitchens, laundry rooms, and bathrooms; clean rental units between tenants, etc.

Events or Donation Drives: Plan and execute fundraising events or donation drives with support from staff; assist with House of Hope events.

Facility Maintenance: Pick up trash, trim hedges, do yardwork, fix broken furniture, change lightbulbs, etc.

Gardening: Plant, weed, and maintain garden beds and landscaping.

Organizing: Track and sort donations; organize basement storage areas, closets, and pantries; etc.
