Come in and check out what we have available to you as a Habitat  Volunteer.  We will review Restore and Build volunteer needs.  Take a tour of our store and meet staff and volunteers.   We will share what we have open and make the best fit with your time and skills.  Volunteer, have fun and shop all at the same time.  Session will last 30 minutes to an hour depending on size of group and questions.  Please RSVP your attendance by completing our online volunteer form and registering for the session at www.greenbayhabitat.org.   Current dates listed on our website.

Volunteer: Donation Pick Up Assistant

Volunteer Shifts:  

Residential / Business Pick Ups 

Monday - Friday  8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Pick your day to help.  Two Saturdays per month 8:00 to 1:00  Special project pickups -  Can be put on list for short term volunteering

 

Donation Pick Up Assistant Roles & Responsibilities: 

Assist the truck driver to pick up donations in the community Greet and thank donors (represent Habitat and ReStore in a positive manner)  Load donations onto truck  Fill out donation slips  Answer truck phone and call donors before pick ups Ability to explain ReStore's mission  Assist with unloading and organizing donations at the ReStore

Desired Skills & Experience: 

Age 18+ Able to do heavy lifting (50+ lbs)  Able to talk on the phone and provide customer service

Training & Resources Provided: 

1/2 hour orientation  Truck driver is always present to answer questions while completing pick ups

Tuesday - Friday 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m or 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Saturday 9:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m or 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Will work with your schedule We can offer two hours shifts.  10 to Noon, Noon to 2, 2 to 4 and 4 to 6. 

Cashier Roles & Responsibilities: 

Ring up sales on register  Assist with answering customer & donor questions as needed Fill out necessary paperwork for sold tags  Assist with pricing and sorting smaller items  Ability to explain ReStore policies and procedures

Desired Skills & Experience: 

Age 18+Will accept younger if they have work cashier experience.   Cheerful and upbeat customer service skills  Register experience preferred, but not required

Training & Resources Provided: 

1/2 hour orientation  3 hour training with ReStore staff member or experienced volunteer  To become comfortable with register operations, it is suggested to volunteer 1-4 times per month Staff support is always available to assist with questions
