Volunteer: Help Hospice Patients Celebrate BirthdaysBristol Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to join our Birthday Celebration Volunteer Program. This program aims to send heartfelt birthday cards to patients under our care and assist with planning small birthday celebrations in order to help patients feel remembered and celebrated on their special day. Key Responsibilities: Assist Volunteer Coordinator in maintaining a schedule of patient birthdays. Ensure cards are sent out or hand-delivered on time to reach patients by their birthdays. Maintain records of sent cards and any feedback from patients and/or families. Communicate with hospice staff to identify additional patients for the program as needed. Collaborate with hospice team members and Volunteer Coordinator when indicated to assist with planning and participating in celebrations.Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient interactions. Reliable and able to commit to a regular schedule for card preparation and mailing. Comfortable communicating with other volunteers and team members as needed.
